Kranked® Bike Co. of Vancouver, Canada and The Licensing Lab, based in Seattle, Washington have signed an exclusive Agency Agreement building on the licensor’s strategy to leverage its intellectual property and build it’s brand across regions and categories in order to ensure the steady strategic growth of it’s brand.

Kranked, known as the original downhill free-ride mountain bike video series, was born in 1997 and sparked the downhill free-ride movement. The Kranked team has shaped the sport and pushed its limits, for almost two decades with over a dozen films. But movies weren’t enough. The team wanted to do more to excite people to embrace their sport.

“Our mission is to inspire more people to embrace the cool, conscious, adrenaline, mountain bike lifestyle”, says Bjorn Enga, originator of the mountain bike video series and Founder of Kranked Bike Co.

The Licensing Lab, a brand-licensing agency focused on extending brands through the strategic and creative development of new, yet related products in unleveraged categories. Areas of business include, but are not limited to toys, sports, collectibles, lifestyle, fashion, art & design.

“We are very excited about the partnership”, says David Paleschuck, President of The Licensing Lab. “We have watched closely over the years as the Kranked crew turned its video product into a brand platform. The brand is poised for success!”

Together, Kranked Bike Co. and The Licensing Lab seek to take the brand from an adrenaline-rush creating video production company to a high quality mountain bike/mountain life inspired equipment & apparel company – allowing everyone to share in the mountain bike lifestyle.
