LIMA Webinar to Examine Fact-Based Forecasting
October 17, 2012, New York, NY – The International Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association’s (LIMA) webinar series resumes on Wednesday, October 24, from 12:00-1:30PM EST with “Fact-Based Forecasting.” The session will provide attendees with the forecasting techniques essential to maximizing brand performance at retail. The webinar will be hosted by Jim Lewis, Founder and CEO of Enhanced Retail Solutions (ERS).
The information-packed webinar will provide participants with information aimed at helping them to accurately and effectively project future needs by integrating hard data points such as wholesale inventory and point-of-sale information with soft data points, including seasonality, trends and execution techniques. The session will help attendees use the analytics to best effect by organizing and rationalizing their product offerings to optimize their wholesale inventory.
Lewis is a former JCPenney buyer, whose 20+-year career has included key categories in Men’s, Children’s and Home Textiles. Recognizing that retailers were increasingly expecting more from their suppliers, Lewis founded ERS in 2002 to help improve the retail business acumen of wholesalers. He has been featured in apparel, toy, licensing and general business publications, and has conducted seminars at industry associations and trade shows, including MAGIC. Most recently, Lewis was honored to conduct a seminar at his alma mater, The University of Florida, at the Miller Center for Retailing.
