LIMA Japan Conducts Licensing Seminar for Major Educational Publisher, Gakken Plus

LIMA Japan, as part of its remit to increase educational learning opportunities, offers licensing seminars to organizations. At the request of Gakken Plus, a major educational publisher, LIMA Japan created and delivered a seminar entitled “Thinking About Creative Issues in Licensing” to staff from the company’s magazine publishing department.


The seminar, held on Thursday 17th November at Gakken’s office in Tokyo, was led by Kaori Taniguchi, LIMA Japan General Manager and Mio Watanabe, President of Mio Co., Ltd. The presentation focused on brand DNA in respect of creative issues for magazine title licensing programs. Using the recently published LIMA Japan Creative Approvals Handbook as the main text, participants learnt in detail about licensing basics, management and best practice of licensed product development and how to set up an in-house product approval infrastructure.
