LIMA Australia successfully hosted its fourth Licensing Breakfast event at Eureka 89 in Melbourne this morning. The event saw a fantastic turnout by the local Licensing Industry in Melbourne, with 100+ attending the event.

Special guest speaker Judy Coomber, CEO of Peter Alexander, spoke on the Peter Alexander business and how they engage brands with many examples of their high profile activations which include Frozen, The Simpsons, Super Heroes and Sesame Street, to name just a few. Coomber highlighted the unique platform that the Peter Alexander brand brings to the market, and how Character Licensing ads the element of surprise and differentiation at Retail.

Noel Thurlow, Managing Director of Jasnor, commented; “It was really interesting to get Judy’s take on how and why certain brands work”.

Tony Bugg, Managing Director of LIMA Australia, presented Stephanie Candiloro (Warner Bros. Consumer Products) with her 2015 LIMA Rising Stars award and Yvette Sittrop (The Five Mile Press) with her LIMA Coursework in Licensing Studies certificate. Stephanie and Yvette can both be proud of their achievements as young up-and-coming Industry Executives.

LIMA Australia are also looking forward to our next Licensing Breakfast in Sydney on the 16th of September, at Hong Kong House. Special guest speaker Paul Field, from The Wiggles, will present on “The Resurgence of The Wiggles”, making for another very exciting morning event.

Special thanks go to Judy Coomber for her insights into the Peter Alexander business and to today’s sponsors; Fan Emblems, Warner Bros. Consumer Products Australia and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.
