Job Description

The Licensing Manager is ultimately responsible for driving our contractual growth rate, by ensuring that the brand's product lines resonate with current and potential retailers and consumers.
This position monitors competitive product & market trends and assists in the development of the brand plan and advises on advertising and marketing activities to ensure the right message is delivered for the product, in concert with the overall licensor’s brand image / activities.
Working under Eyeking's Chief Operating Officer, the Licensing Manager will serve as the point person for understanding our license partner’s business strategy, operations, and direction for product, development and marketing.
This position will work closely with many teams, including Product Developers, Marketing and Sales to make sure the licensed brand’s core values, vision and image are followed.
An important part of the Licensing Manager’s responsibility revolves around the launch and management of the company’s integrated go to market calendar for its license partners as well as managing the product development and approval process ensuring adherence to Eyeking’s contractual obligations and licensing partners’ brand standards and guidelines.
Through regular meetings with key members of the brand’s licensing team, retailers and consumers, the Licensing Manager will assist the various Eyeking teams with the coordination of the overall product and marketing direction. This position serves as the liaison or “air-traffic controller” for Eyeking’s larger team(s).
The person in this position must understand the sense of urgency required to achieve our goals.

 Knowledge of product design, merchandising, marketing and sales principles.
 Analytical - ability to convert analysis into insights, sustainable strategies, and actionable plans.
 Superior critical thinking and problem solving - resourceful at achieving objectives / results despite obstacles. Able to sort through complex data to identify the core issues and develop a plan of action to resolve them.
 Strong communication and influence skills – clear, concise, collaborate and persuasive in style and approach. Ability to build strong relationships with appropriate license team members.
 Ability to communicate appropriate information back to supervisor or the appropriate person / team at Eyeking.
 Energized by a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment – not afraid to do things themselves, to get things done. Comfortable making decisions with limited information and resources. Also knows when to ask for help from appropriate team members.
 Self-reliant / proactive and has a pioneering spirit. Takes initiative and follows through on commitments to achieve results.
 3+ Years Licensing experience working with licensor partners.
