Job Description

The Beanstalk Group has a growing royalty compliance division and seeks a Royalty Auditor Assistant with one to two years’ experience in an accounting role to support all aspects of royalty compliance. The position will be trained to become an auditor; therefore, we are seeking someone with an interest in this role. Responsibilities include but not limited to: work with the audit team to gather and process all necessary information to perform existing audit procedures, support auditing team in carrying out audit tests, help prepare findings reports, and settlement agreements, learn how to use internal filtering mechanism to identify high potential audit candidates and analyze reporting metrics to measure impact of compliance. Work with Legal, Contract Administration and Royalty Administration departments to understand legal and contractual implications of audit outcomes. Work with the audit team along with US and UK brand departments to identify, schedule and ultimately perform licensee compliance audits.

Job Requirements

The successful candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Business Studies, CPA preferred but not required.
1-2 years of accounting experience required, exposure to royalty accounting a strong plus (i.e. - Entertainment, Music, Sports, Publishing or Brand Licensing Organization). Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting practices required. Job requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently or in teams.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work with clients and business partners. Advanced skills in Excel and Word required.
Position requires some travel initially which will increase over time. Most audits are performed off-site.
