Job Description

You will work closely with the Director, Licensing to continue to expand hard-lines business in North America for eOne Family brands and meeting financial targets.

Job Requirements

In this role, your responsibilities are…
• Responsible for managing day to day business in Seasonal, Amusement, Craft & Activity, Stationery, Party & Social Expressions and Secondary Publishing categories.
• Build and maintain relationships with all key licensees relevant to category management responsibilities.
• Hold regular business update meetings with all relevant licensees and Product Development teams ensuring that all licensees are adhering to the terms of their contract and brand strategy guidelines with a focus on expanding product lines and maximizing the business .
• Create and deliver targeted presentations to pitch, support or launch licensing programs in specific category areas.
• Liaise with the wider licensing team and other departments such as International Licensing, Marketing, Product Development, Business Affairs and Accounts on a regular basis to ensure licensees are supported in all aspects of the business.
• Negotiate new deal terms and renewals with licensees and manage the contractual process for specific category areas from start to finish liaising closely with the Director of Licensing, Legal and Accounts, where necessary
• Work with Director of Licensing and Licensing Coordinator on tracking royalty income and financial forecasting
• Monitor and provide analysis of licensees retail distribution, retail promotions and competitors’ ranges through regular store visits of all retail channels along with the broader Licensing and Retail teams.
• Work closely with Canadian agent in building the program in Canada including negotiating and reviewing new licensing partners.
• Regular attendance of trade shows and social industry functions within budget parameters including Book Expo NY, Stationery/Gift Shows NY, Dallas Toy Preview, NY Toy Fair and Licensing Show.
• Assist in the preparation and development of licensee/partner presentations, summits and licensing trade shows.
• Analyze white space in the market and identify new products and categories we should enter to expand beyond the current business.
• Monitor competitive properties and keep up to date on industry news.
