Responsible for setting the strategic direction, developing the 3year plan, managing the strategy execution, and developing documents/presentations to communicate initiatives for: licensed Global Activity/Toy category, and international outbound licensing. She/he develops long and short-term category strategies and business models to support, working closely with US sales/marketing and regional General Managers to build and maintain alignment. She/he identifies, negotiates, closes, and nourishes business relationships to ensure annual growth targets are achieved.


o Determines areas of focus, growth, and opportunities for new partners. Creates pipeline for Global Toy/Activity to ensure year over year profitability and growth.
o Negotiate contracts to maximize revenue and protect Crayola’s interests.
o Develop and implement annual licensee business plans and reviews to grow licensee revenue contribution.
o Identify US Toy/Game partners that have capabilities to expand internationally. Negotiate and manage those business relationships within int’l markets. Develop new business models to enable capabilities and growth.
o Set retail channel strategy with joint business partners. Provide licensees tools and information needed to sell in to retail channels, including facilitating and attending buyer meetings.
o Oversee new product development so that all product meets Crayola requirements and follows brand strategy. Liaise with Crayola platform marketing and cross-functional teams to ensure transparency and create synergies.
o Partners with Int’l General Managers to create strategies for key markets that align with and supports local market positioning.
o Determine optimal international licensing agent base. Negotiate representation agreements and manage agencies throughout execution and launch of strategic licensed categories.
o Work through agents to maximize existing licensee base, sign new licensed partners and promotions. Create pipelines in Global Toy/Activity and International licensing to ensure year over year profitability and growth.
o Manage execution of programs from start to finish, including legal, product development, and activation plans.
o Collaborate with US Marketing Communications team to develop successful PR, social media, advertising and events.
o Collaborate with Int’l sales teams, agents and licensees to facilitate joint sell-in opportunities, and/or negotiate direct to retail agreements.
o Author brand presentations to illustrate best in class Crayola licensed executions to display brand power

Job Requirements


• Bachelor’s degree/ MBA desirable
• Min 10 years’ experience working in sales, marketing, with 3-5 years in licensing with a proven ability to lead multiple projects, set priorities and meet aggressive timelines.
• Strategic thinker with working knowledge of landscape and trends.
• Ability to draw conclusions and address key opportunities.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple team’s and functions with unique goals.
• Proven negotiating skills and developing, implementing into partner agreements.
• Strong critical thinking skills, marketing skills and proven creativity.
• Significant cross-functional leadership and interaction with sales, product develop Marketing, and outside agencies.
• Self-directed, detail & team oriented with highly developed problem solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, coupled with strong organizational, planning and interpersonal skills
• Significant experience in dynamic, fast paced environment
• Proficient in MS Office Applications particularly PowerPoint, Excel and Word, MS Sharepoint experience a plus.
• Ability to travel; 25-35% of time
