Job Description

This role will be responsible for retail development and management of our retail events for all Entertainment One’s Familys brands in the US (including Peppa Pig and PJ Masks). Reporting to the Director, Retail and working with the US licensing team, the Manager, Retail will help create unique branded retail programs within the coordinated brand strategy, and educate and motivate retail buyers to support our brand roster and maximize presence at retail.

Managing day to day relationships and cultivating and growing eOne’s brands at the following retailers:
o Specialty - Book, Party, Craft/Hobby, Home, Infant, Footwear, Electronics
o Online
o Midtier – Kohl’s, JCP, Stage Stores, Sears,
o Department – Macy’s, Nordstrom, Dillard’s, Bon Ton
•Continually educating our retail partners on brand activity and performance to maximize in-store presence
•Identifying new retail opportunities – in and out of aisle- to extend our brands’ reach and create incremental space at retail
•Working closely with our Licensing Team to ensure eOne’s relationships with licensees and retailers are aligned and ensuring regular communication between all parties regarding product roll out, launch plans and product offerings as well as any issues from a supply perspective.
•Working with Director, Retail, to create and deliver tailored retail presentations to pitch to retailers at key time periods
•Building relationships with key internal departments such as Licensing, International, Marketing/PR, Product Development, Business Affairs and Accounts, sharing information and ideas on a regular basis
•Regular analysis of licensees’ retail promotions and competitors’ promotions through store visits of all retailers
•Working in partnership with Director, Retail to brainstorm, create and implement retail marketing events and promotions that will provide broader support at retail of our brands
•Working with Director, Retail to support Canadian agent in executing retail development programs and promotions in Canada
•Regular attendance of trade shows and social industry functions where applicable – including NY Toy Fair and Licensing Show

Job Requirements

•Strong experience in developing and delivering Commercial Retail Marketing initiatives for Entertainment Product.
•Experience in working for a Licensor, Licensee or Retailer in a Retail Development, Retail Account Management, Buying or Retail Marketing role.
•Bachelor’s degree in a related area of concentration
•Excellent knowledge of the North American retail landscape for Entertainment Product
•Sound organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal
•Commercially astute with first-rate relationship building abilities.
•Excellent attention to detail and follow-up
•Sense of urgency and ability to prioritize
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Team player who can contribute to a strong and growing business
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is imperative
