Job Description

- Oversees product design and development and the management of development processes with licensees/manufacturers in the area of fashion, soft lines, hard goods and/or all other licensed products
- Develops creative and supports all creative initiatives to ensure Hearst’s editorial TMs consistently align with the product, packaging, branding, advertising, and style guides
- Handles the global flow of submissions obtaining all internal approvals, and effectively responding to licensees in a timely manner
- Support all aspects of the design process as it relates to licensing, branding, and product development
- Support all existing and new business initiatives with diverse and relevant creative
- Work with licensing agents, clients (external facing)
- Work with creative, marketing, sales (internal facing)
- Reports to Senior Creative Director

Job Requirements

- 5+ years of experience working in consumer products branding, design, and approvals for a team that represents an established brand or an original IP
- Degree in Graphic Design / Industrial Design / Product Design / Other Design Related Field
- Passion for design trends/retail or commercial design/product development
- Passion for consumer media magazine brands
- Understanding of complex workflows designed to scale across diverse, global operations teams
- Ability to understand and work across a diverse range of brands and aesthetics
- Fluency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- Detail oriented, strong organizational and presentation skills
- Good communicator, proactive, team player
