Job Description

Love Pop Culture? Hot Topic is looking for a Licensing Operations manager to drive new Licensing projects. We are seeking someone with a strong knowledge of licensed product who has strong project management skills. In this fun entrepreneurial position, the Licensing Manager will diplomatically interface with licensors, along with Hot Topic marketing, merchants, sourcing and operations to drive specific projects forward. Must have strong interpersonal skills.

- Manage stand-alone licensing projects, serving as the leader and main point of contact aspects of the projects
- Interface with outside licensing consultant & staff
- Coordinate licensing project master calendar
- Manage all marketing coordination between HT, consultant and licensor
- Work with licensing specialists to ensure timely licensor approvals
- Ensure HT & BL buyer participation, coordinate with planning team for retail buys
- Coordinate with PD and sourcing to develop timely delivery of goods
- Provide reporting on contest results, status

Job Requirements

- Must have a strong understanding of young adult pop culture and licensed merchandise
- Strong interpersonal skills required. Must interact with multiple functional areas, including, but not limited to licensors, merchants, marketing, Ecommerce and Legal team
- Must have strong leadership and organizational skills and the ability to follow multiple aspects of a project at once
- 2-5 years of experience in licensing or pop culture retail requested
- 4-year college degree preferred
