Co-Head, Nelvana Enterprises
Andrew Kerr, Co-Head, Nelvana Enterprises, brings over 17 years of experience in the international licensing, consumer products and marketing arenas in relation to children’s content, and is responsible for strategy, brand management and development of Nelvana properties including Beyblade, Babar, Franklin and Max & Ruby. Kerr works closely with Nelvana Studios on the origination and development of new television content , and oversees television sales and digital distribution, as well as consumer product licensing and home entertainment in The Americas and Australasia.
Previously, Kerr was Executive Vice President, Consumer Products and nMarketing, International, with Entertainment Rights/Classic Media in London, overseeing brand marketing and consumer product licensing for more than 100 brands, including Postman Pat, Tinga Tinga Tales, Guess with Jess and many others.
Prior to this role, Kerr was Executive Vice President, Global Licensing and Marketing at Ragdoll Ltd. overseeing all global licensing and marketing initiatives including oversight and management of the Teletubbies brand and creating brand ID and marketplace positioning strategies for In the Night Garden. He also opened Ragdoll’s first international office. Prior to Ragdoll, Kerr held senior marketing and licensing managerial positions for a number of entertainment and consumer product companies.
Director, Marketing & Retail Partnerships
A member of the NBA Canada team since 2004, Leah has worked to develop both integrated retail activations as well as cross promotions and events with licensees and sponsors. Leah currently oversees sponsorship, licensing and retail businesses for the NBA in Canada.
A graduate of both the Universities of Toronto and Ryerson, Leah started her career in politics as a political aide and made her way to sports entertainment via the film industry. Outside of work, Leah enjoys Toastmasters, reading and time with family in Algonquin Park.
Principal, Youth Lab
A veteran in kids’ entertainment, consumer products and the global kids market, Donna is a seasoned marketing executive and principal at Youth Lab, a comprehensive marketing consultancy for children’s entertainment. Previously she also served as Senior Director Retail Marketing, Events and Promotions at Spin Master Ltd. where she led communications, retail marketing and consumer promotional marketing programs for a roster of leading product launches and core properties including global boys action phenomena Bakugan, Redakai, Tech Deck, Air Hogs, NASCAR, Liv, Spin Master Games, Zoobles, Moshi Monsters and more.
Donna’s business savvy and love for the kids’ entertainment business began with a ten-year career in the Kidscreen family, where as Vice President / Group Publisher and business lead of the Global Children’s Entertainment Group she led and managed the growth of the Kidscreen’s industry-leading portfolio of business magazines, digital media and conference events.
