The topic for LIMA Japan’s next Retail Marketing Study Group, hosted by Hasa Co., Ltd., will be the history of character merchandising in Japan. Hiroaki Hasa, Hasa Co.’s CEO, will talk about character merchandising in Japan from the 1950’s to the 1990’s. He will share his views on how the Japanese market for characters developed in its own unique way against the social background at the time. He will also drawn upon the differences with the U.S. market which had matured far earlier than Japan.
