"Regular Show" Gets New Partners and Products That Are Anything But!

Cartoon Network Enterprises Adds Three New Partners – and New Products from Existing Partners – to Robust Apparel and Accessories Program for Emmy® Award-Winning Series
Cartoon Network Enterprises (CNE) has signed three new apparel and accessories companies to join its bodacious roster of licensing partners for its Emmy® Award-winning television series “Regular Show,” it was announced today by Pete Yoder, vice president of consumer products, CNE, North America. With select products on display at this week’s MAGIC Marketplace trade event in Las Vegas, these new partners add to an already-thriving line of softlines products featuring characters and quotable moments from the hit animated series. Accessory Innovations will debut a line of kids backpacks, bags, luggage, small leather goods and cold weather headwear this fall, while Underboss-Undergirl unveils junior’s underwear and sleepwear, also later this year. Additionally, High IntenCity will release a line of jewelry and hair accessories, rounding out a consumer products program that has many fans taking notice.
Each of these new partners add to the existing line of products from partners that will continue to release new products and designs throughout 2013, including: Bioworld (adult bags, small leather goods and accessories, headwear, cold weather and men’s sleepwear); Buckle Down (seatbelt-fashioned belts and key chains); Fifth Sun (apparel for all ages with new designs being introduced regularly); Hot Properties (accessories); Hyp (hosiery for both kids and adults); Mad Dog (kids’ sleepwear); Mighty Fine (licensed t-shirts and tops for its welovefine.com retail channel); and Whatever Company (buttons, stickers, wristbands, patches and stationery).
“With its likeable characters, quotable dialogue and ‘80s retro-inspired appeal, ‘Regular Show’ has all of the core components of a strong, all¬-ages apparel and accessories program that can attract and cater to a wide audience,” said CNE’s Yoder. “We have had great success to date in the softlines category across retail, and the addition of our new partners and product introductions releasing throughout this year will only continue to build on our program’s fantastic start.”
Since its debut in September 2010, ‘Regular Show’ has become a global sensation and regularly rates as a top-rated comedy series on Cartoon Network across key demographics. The series recently won a 2012 Primetime Emmy® Award for Outstanding Short-format Animated Program and was nominated for four 2011 BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) Awards. Created by JG Quintel and produced by Cartoon Network Studios, Regular Show features Mordecai and Rigby, two groundskeepers at a park whose attempts to escape their everyday boredom take them to fantastical extremes. The job is so deadly dull that the two friends will do anything they can to avoid it. This doesn’t go over well with their boss Benson (an anthropomorphic gumball machine) — but their efforts often result in insane escapades that delight Pops, a humanoid-looking lollipop, who has spent his entire life there.
New episodes of ‘Regular Show’ debut on Cartoon Network Monday nights at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT) with replays throughout the week.
