Milano, February 16, 2011   Planeta Junior Italy has signed an agreement with Mauricio de Sousa Productions for the property Ronaldinho Gaucho’s team, developed in collaboration between the player Ronaldinho, Footballer of the Year in 2009, and the famous Brazilian cartoonist Mauricio de Sousa.
The cartoon series for TV, produced by GIG Italia, is aimed at an audience of 4 to 14 years old and has 52 episodes, each lasting 11 minutes. Starting in 2012 the series will be broadcasted on RAI YO YO.
The protagonist is Ronaldinho as a child, sharing with everyone his joy of life and amazing skills in the game of football. Ronaldinho’s dream is to become a great player and his team helps him realize it. His Team consists of: Little Diego, his brother Asis, his sister Daisy, his mother Miguelina and his dogs Champ and Fireball.
The adventures of Ronaldinho Gaucho’s team teach important shared lessons such as shares values, solidarity, friendship, and a healthy sense of fun and competitive sport.
Planeta Junior Italy handles all licensing categories and merchandising that will soon be on the Italian market.
