The designer to present MayaHansenXChupaChups® within the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week off program in Madrid on July 4th

Anybody who grew up in Spain cherishes sweet childhood memories about Chupa Chups®. The international iconic brand celebrates its sixtieth anniversary this year, hand in hand with the prestigious designer Maya Hansen.

Maya wanted to pay a tribute to the popular brand by creating a special capsule collection. “It has been a fun challenge, I mixed the pop spirit of Chupa Chups® with the feminine and transgressive style of Maya Hansen. An explosive combination that will stir up a surprise”, explains the designer.

The colour, the graphics, the fun and the references to the lollipop are captured on surprising summer looks: mini dresses, crop tops, leggings… feminine pieces presented next to some interesting men’s and unisex pieces in this collection. The irreverent side of the brand is also represented. Ultra feminine silhouettes inspire the corset, the star piece of the collection and identity mark of the designer.

“We are thrilled by the interpretation of Maya Hansen in this special year for Chupa Chups®. The result is fabulous, a collection which genuinely reflects the fun and cheeky spirit of the brand, which the designer and the brand have so much in common.”, says Marta Ballesteros, Area Licensing Manager de Perfetti van Melle.

The MayaHansenXChupaChups® collection will be presented next July 4th at 20.00h within the off program of the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week at a privileged setting: the new Picalargartos rooftop terrace at Gran Via, the only one to boost a 360º view of Madrid.

Corsets are understood like soft shapers and lay the foundations to develop the
rest of the pieces. Innovation on materials and collaboration with artists and artisans to make ‘one of a kind’ pieces is always present in MAYA HANSEN collections.
