Kids’ entertainment expert Keith Chapman, creator of numerous international programming and licensing sensations, including Paw Patrol and Bob the Builder, will be the keynote speaker at Mind Mix, the idea-sharing event to be hosted by LIMA, May 11-12, 2016, in Berlin. The two-day idea exchange is designed specifically for licensing, retail, manufacturing, and marketing executives.
Aimed at encouraging discussion and exchange of ideas on a broad scale, the inaugural Mind Mix event will consist of 24 roundtable discussions covering a variety of important topics such as legal issues, brand management, global licensing, digital, sourcing and manufacturing, and retail, all moderated by leading experts in their respective fields. Roundtables will be held in a revolving pattern, so attendees can participate in as many of the discussions as possible. Mind Mix also will include networking events and a Retail Tour of Berlin.
“We are very excited to introduce Mind Mix to our members and provide them with a unique opportunity to discuss and share business ideas, challenges and trends with one another in an intimate and relaxed setting,” said LIMA President Charles Riotto. “Our first Mind Mix features a dynamic mix of moderators to guide each discussion, kicking off with a keynote from the widely-respected award-winning children’s entertainment creator Keith Chapman.”
“I am very honored and excited to keynote LIMA’s Mind Mix event in Berlin this year,” said Chapman. “I look forward to sharing with attendees from all across the industry some of the key lessons I’ve learned in creating, producing and licensing globally-successful preschool properties, and providing information and insight to help them realize the full potential of their own intellectual creations.”
Chapman is best known for his mega-hits Paw Patrol, currently airing on Nickelodeon and produced by Spin Master, and Bob the Builder (now owned by Mattel and with a new animated TV series currently in production). He has also created and produced a host of other hit kids’ shows, including Fifi & the Flowertots, airing on Sprout in the U.S., and hugely popular in the UK.
Earlier in his career, Chapman worked for the legendary Jim Henson The Jim Henson Company on The Muppets, Muppet Babies and Fraggle Rock. He formed Chapman Entertainment in 2001 with partners Greg Lynn and Andrew Haydon, and operated the company until 2013.
