A prestigious designer of bespoke made-to-measure men’s clothing in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for reviewing, processing and posting of vendor invoices into the accounting system and ensuring that proper authorization and supporting documentation has been obtained for internal control purposes.

Job Description

Licensing/ Brand manager

The Manager is responsible for managing a product category, the associated product sub-categories and collaborations/licensees with the goal of meeting or exceeding predetermined revenue targets and growth objectives.


Category Management:
• Working with Management, define category and property strategy / Participate and contribute to the strategic planning process.
• Working with management develop strategies and business plans by retailer, brand and property
• Accountable for management of all collaborations/licensees within its product categories, which includes participation in contract negotiation, resolving issues, and promotion/advertising initiatives
• Manage day to day relationship, organize, participate in the pitch and selecting collaboratins/licensees with support from management
• Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, competitors, business opportunities, threats and dynamics
• Responsible for cost assessment, recommendation and control of research dedicated to managed category
• Identify growth opportunities by category, distribution and select, pitch to management and execute new deals to fill gaps
• Negotiate financial deal points and other material terms on new deals and renewals with the support from management
• Set-up and lead licensee business review as well as internal and external retail presentations and line reviews with the support of management
• Responsible to interact global licensees: drive regular communication and information flow, incorporate feedback for product development and contract negotiation
• Perform all functions of “Contract Owner” for a selection of licensees

Finance and Business Planning:
• Fiscal responsibility for assigned categories and business segments (with management: setting annual targets, obtaining and reviewing quarterly forecasts)
• Build and present category forecast and budget with finance and management team
• Responsible for category input within the 5 years strategic plan
• Finalize/negotiate licensee business plans with management approval

Product Development:
• Work with creative director to keep on trend and brand right
• Develop creative direction with director and design
• Collaborate with exterior product development team(s) to build line plans; ensuring appropriate sku count, price points and that (licensee) rights are maximized with management
• Ensure timely approvals of collaboration/licensee's product development elements
• With Sales team, define and plan product development for retailer exclusive products
• Prepare product presentations included but not limited to internal line reviews
• Ensure licensee product lines reflect August McGregor quality and brand/property objectives
• manage category portion of creative roll-out for appropriate licensees
• Responsible for cost assessment, recommendation and control of brainstorm and product or packaging expenditures

Brand and Content Management: in support of Marketing
• Provide any licensee /product information in support of marketing and brand presentations and sales meetings
• Help integrate licensees within wider brand and marketing plans
• Ensure timely approvals of licensee's marketing elements
• Coordinate SM and digital efforts to align with brands and licensee

Retail, Sales and Marketing
• With Marketing director, build and execute strategic US Marketing and product launch plans with key partners
• Liaise with Marketing team to define account promotional and marketing plans and ensure licensee participation
• Work with management to align key priorities to drive growth targets

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications
• At least 2 yrs. experience at the associate category mgmt. level
• Experience in fashion
• Forms good working partnerships
• Strong relationship building skills, flexible and adaptable; able to collaborate, influence and persuade at all levels of an organization, both internal and external
• Capable of working independently and managing a variety of initiatives / opportunities simultaneously

• Solid written and verbal communication skills
