Job Description

Senior Manager, Licensing - Perry Ellis

Manage and build on key internal and external relationships to deliver accurate and timely reporting across all aspects of the licensing programs; to ensure internal and external teams are aligned and delivering against budget and strategy. In this role, you will interface with Licensee Merchandising, Sales and Marketing Managers, Licensee and Divisional Management Teams, Divisional Marketing, Divisional Design Director and Divisional Sales


Licensed Product Calendar Management
Work closely with Merchandising and Design teams for seasonal design info and brand direction.
Ensure product is consistent with market trends as well as business strategy and brand DNA
Manage and schedule product development design meetings for all licensed product categories
Ensure adherence to design/merchandise calendar
Daily interaction with licensees to manage product design development
Obtain and review seasonal merchandising plans from licensees

Product Approval Process:
Issue product review meeting recaps and comments to licensees
Document all approvals
Line sheet coordination
Ensure all product lines are reviewed/adopted each season prior to market presentations
Ensure all records of sketches, swatches, pictures, samples and approvals are maintained properly.

Partner with in-house marketing to keep them informed and formulate plans for key selling periods, new product launches, and major initiatives and to ensure any licensee specific needs are met
Ensure adherence to brand standards on product identification: Logos, labels, trims, etc and collect documentation/components
Share responsibility with Licensed Product Designer, the set-up of Licensing SHowroom
Follow-up on all consumer related matters

Business Development:
Obtain quarterly sales reports from licensees and set-up touch base meetings
Identify potential product extensions and business opportunities of existing licensed business
Category expert on trend and competition (positioning, pricing, product mix, collateral,advertising, ins-store fixturing, retail space)
Research competition in new and existing product categories through retail store visits and other formats
Track weekly retail selling/sales by licensed product category
Maintain files on prospective licensees

International Licensees - Asia
Coordinate appointments for international licensees to review seasonal in-house product lines
Review and approve all special make up styles to ensure the design, quality and care standards are followed
Provide costing information, and sales updates (i/e/ delivery charges, drop items, and additions to the line
Place and track all production buys and re-orders (domestic & overseas)

Job Requirements


3+ years experience- Sales (retail or wholesale), Merchandising, Marketing or Brand Management
Market Awareness
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
College Graduate
