The Chemours Company headquartered in Wilmington, DE has a Business Development position available in Wilmington, DE. The Business Development – Brand Licensing role is responsible for the development of new brand licensing opportunities to maintain and grow the Teflon™ and Ti-Pure™ brand licensing portfolio. The Business Development leader will join the global brand licensing team to scout for and acquire new licensing opportunities. This requires the ability to develop and communicate a compelling value proposition combining a set of sales and marketing skills to recognize and realize value creation opportunities. Success will deliver increased royalty revenues and improved brand awareness.

This is a Marketing role and will report to the Global Brand Licensing Manager in the Titanium Technologies business.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Identify & Acquire New Brand Licensing Opportunities

Identify target applications, geographies, and licensees aligned with business objectives and regional priorities
Develop and deliver compelling value propositions working with the global marketing team to engage and acquire new licensees
Engage with target licensee product portfolio strategy development and marketing strategy goals to make sure that the trademarks are positioned for success.
Negotiate and execute trademark license agreements
Brand Ambassador

Protect the integrity of the Teflon™ and Ti-Pure™ brands by representing the principles and processes of the brand licensing program.
Drive increased brand awareness and perception through the creation and execution of marketing plans in collaboration with current and new partners, and targeted independent promotional activities.
Develop brand positioning (as part of a cross-functional team) based on value chain knowledge and value proposition including imagery, and language to communicate brand benefits to targeted consumer segments.
Maintain a visible industry presence. Participate in internal and external meetings and organizations aligned with significant market opportunities. ( Coatings, Plastics, Laminates, and Building Industry market spaces)

Job Requirements

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

Proven brand management or brand licensing experience
Proven business and marketing acumen
A strong and proven sales orientation
Excellent interpersonal, listening, presentation and writing skills
Knowledge of coatings, plastics and laminates markets is a plus.
Awareness of Chemours offerings and B2B / B2C brands is a plus.
Experience coordinating activities across multiple functions in a corporate environment (finance, legal, commercial and marketing organizations). DuPont or Chemours specific experience is a plus.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects at different stages of the execution process.
Knowledge of market research methodologies
Willingness to travel up to 50% (globally)

85-120K
