Job Description

DEPARTMENT STRATEGY
The strategy of the licensing department is to leverage Condé Nast’s logos and content to generate revenue and enhance brand influence for some of the most iconic brands in media: Vogue, Vanity Fair, GQ, Golf Digest, The New Yorker, Condé Nast Traveler, Allure, Wired, Bon Appétit, and more.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to Director of Content Licensing, the ideal candidate will be a strategic, results-driven and detail oriented professional with a background in a relevant field such as business development, brand management and planning, media, and/or licensing.

• Support departmental objectives to monetize logo, award seals and content for the entire portfolio of brands
• Communicate and collaborate with all internal stakeholders at Condé Nast including editorial, marketing, sales, branded content, finance, legal, and billing.
o Manage award seal activations and timeline of deliverables
o Lead meetings and presentations with clear objectives and strategy
o Present licensing capabilities and business opportunities with ease
o Manage award marketing by collecting relevant, updated and impactful data from brands
o Seek clearance from Rights & Permissions for content usage
o Create and modify licensing agreements
o Create and track licensing invoices
o Maintain the monthly ledger and reconcile reports
o Publish sales reports and financial forecasts to executives
o Define core business needs and improve workflow or tools to maximize revenue potential

• Manage Licensing Business
o Maintain, optimize, and grow existing portfolio of third-party licensees
o Identify and target new revenue opportunities
o Consult with potential licensees and their agencies
o Approve client mock ups
o Maintain rate cards and pricing
o Negotiate terms for content reuse and corresponding licensing fees
o Process requests efficiently and with high quality levels
o Prepare presentations and other projects
o Handle other tasks as assigned by manager

Job Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree
- Proficient in InDesign, Keynote, Google, and all Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Sound business judgement and strategy
- Superior organizational skills
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly effective in relationship building and follow-through
- Independent and resourceful project management
- History of strong performance in a fast-paced environment
