Job Description

Primary responsibility is to assist management with licensing partnerships and other strategic relationships including project management and marketing. The Coordinator, Licensing Partnerships serves as a member of the Marketing & Communications Department, providing excellent customer service to all Little League partners.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Excellent skills in written and spoken communication; experience developing and delivering presentations, a plus. Proven ability to maintain business relationships.
2. Excellent organizational skills including the ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects and assignments on time and on task.
3. Proficiency in MS Office programs, especially Microsoft Excel. Experience with licensing software a plus. Familiarity with Adobe Suite preferred.
4. An understanding of marketing principles and concepts, including, but not limited to licensing, sponsorships, digital and social media, consume promotion, advertising, public relations and associated activities.
5. Familiarity with MS Office programs and social media implementation for business. Familiarity with Adobe Suite of products preferred. Above average typing skills (60+ wpm).
6. Education requirements include a minimum of bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration, Marketing, Accounting or Sales Management.
7. Specific industry knowledge and experience including 2 to 4 years in marketing, licensing, sponsorship, or partnership marketing.
8. Positive work attitude and professionalism while working in a fast-paced work environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
1. Standard office setting.
2. Occasional travel is required, both by car and airplane to attend client meetings and events.
3. Willingness to perform event related functions, including the ability to lift up to 30 pounds during special events and tournaments.
4. Majority of work is Monday through Friday, with some special events and projects (during “off hours” and weekends; summer may require nights and weekends, especially in July and August.

MAJOR TASKS, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Serves as the primary contact for all licensing partnerships and assists with other partnerships operated within the department developing business relationships and rapport.
2. Serves as the primary contact for marketing programs such as printed catalogs, emails, website updates, program sales and internal tradeshows with licensing partnerships.
3. Drive and maintain the annual licensing calendar and process including: management of online electronic licensing reports and associated tracking of partner relationships via customized software. Prepare correspondence relating to partnership agreements, tracking of agreements and contractual requirements and providing an analysis of partner revenues quarterly.
4. Reviews licensee marketing, product and artwork submissions, providing appropriate approvals when appropriate.
5. Assist in the development of the Little League brand and artwork style guide, ensuring that partners follow appropriate guidelines on creative design.
6. Respond to all licensing partnership inquiries including thorough review of proposed licenses, licensing application and support materials to appropriate departments for review and approval.
7. Preparation of all licensing partnership agreements and agreements for other strategic partnerships. .
8. Serve as a liaison for marketing ideas and opportunities to assist licensees with selling their products within our corporate guidelines.
9. Serve as resource to local Little League programs that inquire about the use of Little League trademarks in local league initiatives. Provide appropriate documentation trademark use to leagues and oversee use of marks, when appropriate.
10. Monitor brand trademarks and research trademark misuse by third parties, working with legal counsel to facilitate correspondence. Assist with Trademark filings including but not limited to review and gathering specimens.
11. Create functional documents and filing systems for managing all documentation of licensing partnerships and other strategic relationships, ensuring all contractual obligations and programmatic details are implemented flawlessly.
12. Assist with the management of revenues and expenses.
13. Responsible for assisting in the promotion and public awareness of LLB programs and activities under the auspices of the Marketing and Communications Department and across the organization.
14. Major tasks, duties and responsibilities may be revised at any time including schedules.
15. Employee must be receptive to new training and continuing education.
