The Creative Director of Sports will report to the Senior Director Marketing Sports and lead the vision and development for all creative needs for the Sports pillar. The Creative Director Sports is responsible for directing, planning, implementing and/or overseeing the execution of all Sports creative development that supports Marketing, Brand, Business Development, and Sports licensees/partners needs. The Creative Director Sports oversees print production, graphic design, and desktop publishing and, in consultation with Sr. Director Marketing, establishes priorities that drive efficiencies across the Sports pillar. The Creative Director Sports leads and directs the work of others on the Sports Creative team and provides a forum for brainstorming and solicitation of input, from core group and from cross-functional teams within the Sports pillar, as well as across the Fashion and C&E pillars. The Creative Director Sports will maintain ongoing communication with Sports Marketing, Brand, Business Development, and key licensees/partners on all relevant projects to ensure projects deliver against business needs and timelines.


Job Requirements

General Responsibilities:
o Provide “big picture” vision and creative design concepts for ABG sports brands
o Spearhead the creative development for all Sports brand collateral including brand books, one sheets, brand and marketing collateral, branding and advertising guidelines, packaging design, seasonal brand campaigns, product design consultation and ideation, style guide development, pitch decks and sales materials
o Develop Brand guidelines and standards for all brand communications; deliver to licensees and drive implementation of brand standards worldwide
o Deliver brand tools to partners worldwide including Brand Books, Brand Guidelines, Trend Guides and/or Style Guides, seasonal and/or annual campaign assets
o Develop seasonal campaign assets for relevant sports brands that meet brand, business, and licensee needs
o Develop key sales and brand collateral for trade shows and partner meetings
o Develop branding (look and feel) for ABG sports brands across all media, including digital, online, packaging, POP merchandising
o Develop and maintain the sports brand toolbox (physical and digital); assure materials, including content, copy, visuals, etc. are current and accurate
o Provide strategic creative solutions that support Sports marketing and business needs (i.e. Brand 2.0 Vision, collaboration recommendations, etc.)
o Partner with Brand team and licensees to make sure that brand standards and product design are consistent, compelling, and relevant to competitive landscape
o Identify ongoing content needs and collaborate with Creative Director Content on all video production and development
o Lead creative kick-off for new project development; clearly articulate deliverables and timeline
o Support business development team on all pitch materials
o Lead vision and creative development for all integrated sports campaigns including concept development, presentation to internal and external teams, and solicitation of input and buy in from key brand stakeholders
o Act as creative director and/or provide oversight and direction to photographers and talent on all photoshoots
o Partner with Marketing Operations on campaign creative and content budgets; consult with Ops team on selection of creative talent including photographers, models, influencers, videographers, etc. to assure project has clear ROI and delivers on marketing and business needs
o Manage and develop sports graphic designer(s)
