Gabriel Bitton, CEO, Buffalo International

Gabriel Bitton and family founded Buffalo Jeans in the 80′s and grew the brand over the next 35 years to be a well established and prominent brand name internationally. In 2002, Buffalo Jeans licensed Request Jeans to Hudson’s Bay Company as a DTR and had sales of over 1 billion over the term of the contract. In 2012, Buffalo Jeans launched I Jeans by Buffalo at JCPenny as an exclusive, creating a fashion denim brand, and built shop in shops at JCP totalling 1 million square feet. In 2012, Buffalo International sold 51 percent of the Buffalo IP to ICONIX USA and in turn Buffalo International purchased from ICONIX 50 percent of all ICONIX brands for the Canadian market. In 2015, Buffalo operations, including I Jeans by Buffalo, were licensed to a global company on a long term deal. The business model today is strictly licensing with over 40 well recognized brands in our portfolio.
