Great response from UK members to the international licensing awards

Posted by Kelvyn Gardner on March 17, 2010

This year LIMA has made a special effort to encourage wider participation in the international awards to be presented in Las Vegas in June. In previous years members could be forgiven for assuming that the awards were too focussed on North American companies. I’m pleased to say that the LIMA push has produced a very fine response from UK LIMA members. Actual numbers and names put forward remain confidential, of course, but I can tell you that in 2010 UK members have put forward for nomination more than twice as many companies as China, Germany and Japan combined. All of those who participated have my heartiest thanks and congratulations. This is a job well done. There is only one way to make these awards truly international and that is to give the awards committee plenty of non- US based potential nominees to consider. UK members have truly stepped up to the mark this year in doing so. I know that the party in Las Vegas will go with an extra swing if Great Britain is well represented in the nominees. I wish each and every one of you good luck in securing a nomination.
