LIMA Committees


This committee is made up of various members of the licensing industry who meet annually to decide upon the eligibility of nominees for the LIMA International Licensing Excellence Awards. The committee is by invitation only and maintains anonymity in the industry to insure non-partisanship.


The Charity Committee works to raise contributions for the Childen’s Brain Tumor Foundation, LIMA’s Charity of Choice. Members of this committee are asked to assist in soliciting donations from member companies and contribute ideas for fundraising efforts.


The Education Committee offers input into the organization of creative, compelling and relevant educational programming, to include our ongoing webinar series,  the Certificate of Licensing Studies (CLS) program, and the Licensing University conference sessions held in conjunction with Licensing Expo.


The Executive Committee oversees the operations of LIMA and the LIMA office including all personnel, financial and legal matters. The Committee is composed of the Chairman, Vice-Chairman, at least one Board Member selected by the Board of Directors, the President and Counsel.

Hall of Fame

The Hall of Fame Committee is responsible for compiling the slate of candidates that the LIMA Board uses to determine who will be inducted into the LIMA Licensing Industry Hall of Fame each year.

Marketing & Membership

The Marketing & Membership Committee is responsible for targeting industry sectors for new membership and advising on strategies to encourage membership in LIMA.


At least three months prior to the Annual Meeting each year, the Board of Directors appoints a Nominating Committee to review nominations for the incoming Board.  The committee must be comprised of at least five LIMA Members, with a minimum of two Licensors, two Licensees, and one Support Member.  Sitting Board Members are ineligible for participation in the Nominating Committee.

Strategic Planning

The Strategic Planning committee is responsible for evaluating the current professional values associated with LIMA and recommending to the Board of Directors future goals and objectives designed to enhance LIMA’s value to its members and to keep LIMA relevant and responsive to the global licensing industry.
