Slime Kits were on many hot holiday toy lists and have sold over 2 million kits in 2017.

Taking over £8m in the opening weekend in the UK, Paddington 2 was Studiocanal’s widest ever release in the UK & ROI and is the biggest opening for a family title by an Independent distributor in the UK. Already surpassing movie 1 with UK box office taking over £40+ many international markets are still to launch.

Promotions coinciding with Paddington 2 include Subway (2,200 UK restaurants and 150 ROI restaurants) and for the festive season M&S was unveiled as the star of their Christmas campaign for 2017 launching with the hashtag #LoveTheBear

Since Pusheen’s launch in 2016 with Blueprint stationery we have seen many successes across retail globally. We now have over 50 licensees signed across UK and Europe plus DTR’s with major retailers including LPP, EMP and Sicem for OVS. In 2017 Primark trialled a few Pusheen lines, the range was so successful that in February 2018 they are doing a store takeover with competitions and online and press coverage. The brand has grown phenomenally over the last 6 months and is still growing today with an upcoming collaboration with Chupa Chups and figurines launching later this year.

The heirs of Rube Goldberg together with their agency Brand Central launched an innovative STEM brand in 2017 around the legacy of Rube Goldberg, an engineer and inventor. Rube Goldberg is famous for his hilarious contraption cartoons. Along with its licensed partner SpinMaster and retail partner Target, a toy line was launched to make Rube Goldberg contraptions at home. The program featured a 1 year endcap at Target with 9 skus and a national TV ad campaign. With children’s books and the Machine Contest promotion already in the market, the brand captures the creativity, humor, and imagination of Rube Goldberg.

Shopkins US licensed merchandise (without toys) achieved approximately $290m retail bringing the licensing program in totality to hit the $1 billion retail sales milestone! In 2017, the Shopkins licensing program also launched extensions at retail such as Shopkins Happy Places and Shopkins Cutie Cars and Universal Home Entertainment launched its 2nd DVD while Moose expanded its Shopkins’ content on Netflix. All licensees up for renewal renewed! 80+ licensees will continue for years to come! Shopkins sustained all key retailer support for the 3rd year in a row within a more competitive license field! New licensees included Skechers and Build-A-Bear Workshop.
