In 2017, the HGTV HOME Design Studio by Bassett achieved roughly $100 million in retail sales and experienced 7% YOY growth. Since its initial launch in 2012, the Studio has increased its distribution penetration by 90% and is now in over 190 locations, with plans to further increase its door count in 2018. In 2017, HGTV HOME Design Studio grew its product assortment with the introduction of three new headboards and the “Classic Collection” of accent wood furniture. HGTV and Bassett continue to support the program through cross-promotional efforts, which include Bassett’s sponsorship of HGTV’s hallmark sweepstakes, Smart Home.

Although launched towards the end of 2017, Half Moon Bay’s Warhammer 40,000 giftware range has seen strong take-up at retail – especially for a brand not previously known for products outside model kits and video games. With a large and passionate fanbase of collectors to tap into, retailers are seeing better than expected sales online and at retail. At Nuremberg Toy Fair, with a stand full of merchandise from top tier IPs, HMB were wiped out of their Warhammer 40,000 stock, and only their Warhammer 40,000 stock. This underground IP is proving to be a bigger draw than many expected.

In 2017, Jay Franco welcomed a new partnership with Microsoft and Mojang to launch the first Minecraft home collections across the US retail market. Since its initiation, the results have been unmatched; maintaining the number one placement at both Target and Walmart with retail sales around $20M across all retailers in one year alone!
